Washington High School Soccer - Upper Columbia Academy nudges Newport
September 17, 2024: Spangle, WA 99031 In Tuesday's non-league outing, the host Upper Columbia Academy Lions soccer squad scored a tight 3-2 victory over the Newport Grizzlies.
The Lions (1-1) will now prepare for their outing against Kettle Falls (Kettle Falls, WA). The Bulldogs go into the 2B Bi-County outing with a 0-3 record. In their last outing, Kettle Falls was edged by Northwest Christian School (Colbert, WA), 10-0, in a league outing.
Next up, the Grizzlies confront the Priest River Spartans (Priest River, ID) in a non-league outing, on Thursday, September 19. Newport will attempt to improve on its 0-3 season record. The Spartans go into the outing with a 0-5 record after their 7-3 league loss to Bonners Ferry (Bonners Ferry, ID).
