September 17, 2024: Perry, GA 31069 The Westfield School Hornets triumphed over the visiting Brookstone Cougars softball squad by a count of 10-3 in Tuesday's league challenge.
Next, the Hornets play the Pinewood Christian Patriots (Bellville, GA) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, September 19. Westfield School will attempt to upgrade on its 11-5 season record. The Patriots enter the challenge with a 12-7 record after their 18-17 non-league loss to Citizens Christian Academy (Douglas, GA).
The Cougars (4-7) will now prepare for their challenge against Calvary Christian (Columbus, GA). The Knights enter the GIAA Class AAA & AAAA District 5 challenge with a 8-6 record. In their last challenge, Calvary Christian was routed by Strong Rock Christian (Locust Grove, GA), 4-2, in a league challenge.
