The Bulldogs packed the box early and kept AL off the board in the first half. In the 46th minute, Alex Soloff broke thru for the Shoremen on a put back header, off a shot by Coby Ostrowsky to go up 1 - nil. 18 minutes later, Lincoln Rose put the game away on a put back shot off of a Luke Bellenir shot that was cleared off the goal line. The rest of the match was chippy, but the Avon Lake Shoremen buckled down the remainder of the game, retaining possession, allowing the coaches to get their substitutes quality game minutes.
