North Carolina High School Volleyball - University Christian over Newton-Conover

September 17, 2025: Hickory, NC 28601

The crowd at Wednesday's non-league test between the University Christian Barracudas (Hickory, NC) and the visiting Newton-Conover Red Devils (Newton, NC), saw University Christian's volleyball squad achieve victory over Newton-Conover by a score of 3-0.

With the win, University Christian improves its record to 5-3 on the season. The Barracudas travel to Millers Creek Christian (Millers Creek, NC) to meet the Lions in a non-league challenge on Thursday, September 18. The Lions enter the challenge with a record of 1-7. Millers Creek Christian lost 3-1 in their recent non-league challenge against Statesville Christian (Statesville, NC)

Next, the Red Devils meet the Bandys Trojans (Catawba, NC) in a Western Foothills 4A/5A challenge, on Tuesday, September 23. Newton-Conover will attempt to improve on its 1-14 season record. The Trojans go into the test with a 7-6 record after their 3-0 league win over Bunker Hill (Claremont, NC).
