September 18, 2023: Readfield, ME 04355 The crowd at Monday's non-league bout between the Maranacook Black Bears (Readfield, ME) and the visiting Nokomis Warriors (Newport, ME), saw Maranacook's volleyball squad beat Nokomis by a tally of 3-0.
With the win, Maranacook upgrades its record to 2-2 on the year. The Black Bears travel to Lewiston (Lewiston, ME) to play the Blue Devils in a non-league bout on Thursday, September 21. The Blue Devils go into the bout with a record of 1-3. Lewiston won 3-0 in their recent non-league bout against North Yarmouth Academy (Yarmouth, ME)
The Warriors now own a 0-6 record. They play next when they travel to Brewer for a Class B bout on Thursday, September 21. Nokomis will play a Witches squad coming off a 3-0 league loss to Ellsworth (Ellsworth, ME). The Witches record now stands at 1-5.
