Massachusetts High School Volleyball - Danvers overwhelmed by Masconomet Regional
September 18, 2024: Danvers, MA 01923 The Masconomet Regional Chieftains topped the host Danvers Falcons volleyball squad by a final score of 3-0 in Wednesday's league game.
Next up, the Chieftains face the Newburyport Clippers (Newburyport, MA) in a non-league game, on Friday, September 20. Masconomet Regional will attempt to advance on its 5-1 season record. The Clippers go into the game with a 4-2 record after their 3-0 league win over Georgetown (Georgetown, MA).
The Falcons (3-3) will now prepare for their game against Dennis-Yarmouth Regional (South Yarmouth, MA). The Dolphins go into the non-league game with a 5-2 record. In their last game, Dennis-Yarmouth Regional gained a win over Old Rochester Regional (Mattapoisett, MA), 3-2, in a non-league game.

Alba Vranari led the Masco offense with 11 kills, strong serving and consistent passing from the back row. Her efforts were supported by a well balanced offense, with significant contributions by Aimee Quimby, Jessie Bonaiuto, Cate Wettstone and Megan Brady. Masco saw the same balance on Defense, led by Lidia Benedetto with 17 digs, along with Chloe Lodewick, Alba Vranari and Aimee Quimby coming up with key defensive moves. Aimee Quimby was also stellar behind the serving line, chipping in 4 service aces in the conference win.
