The Hawkins Hawks football team (Hawkins, TX), dropped 39-14 in Thursday's league contest with the visiting Elysian Fields Yellowjackets (Elysian Fields, TX)

The Yellowjackets (4-0) will now prepare for their contest against Beckville (Beckville, TX). The Bearcats enter the 2A-1 Region III District 10 contest with a 2-2 record. In their last contest, Beckville gained a win over Harleton (Harleton, TX), 30-6, in a league contest.

Next up, the Hawks encounter the Union Grove Lions (Gladewater, TX) in a 2A-1 Region III District 10 bout, on Friday, September 26. Hawkins will attempt to advance on its 3-1 season record. The Lions go into the bout with a 3-1 record after their 54-21 league loss to Waskom (Waskom, TX).
