September 18, 2025: Waxhaw, NC 28173 The Marvin Ridge Mavericks walloped the visiting Piedmont Panthers football team by a score of 42-0 in Thursday's non-league challenge.
In their next game, the Mavericks meet the Weddington Warriors (Matthews, NC) in a non-league test, on Wednesday, October 1. Marvin Ridge will attempt to upgrade on its 5-0 season record.
With the defeat, Piedmont drops to 2-2 on the campaign. The Panthers host Cuthbertson (Waxhaw, NC) to face the Cavaliers in a non-league challenge on Thursday, September 25. The Cavaliers go into the challenge with a record of 3-2. Cuthbertson won 17-14 in their recent non-league challenge against Porter Ridge (Indian Trail, NC)
