North Stanly Comets (New London, NC) followers went home pleased Thursday as they saw their football team gain a win over the host Mountain Island Charter Raptors (Mt. Holly, NC), 27-7 in a non-league battle.

With the win, North Stanly advances its record to 3-1 on the season. The Comets travel to Cox Mill (Concord, NC) to encounter the Chargers in a non-league match on Thursday, September 25. The Chargers enter the match with a record of 3-1. Cox Mill won 30-6 in their recent non-league match against Olympic (Charlotte, NC)

Coming up next, the Raptors confront the Albemarle Bulldogs (Albemarle, NC) in a non-league match, on Thursday, September 25. Mountain Island Charter will attempt to upgrade on its 1-3 season record.
