Illinois High School Soccer - Thornton knocks off Crete-Monee
September 18, 2025: Harvey, IL 60426 In Thursday's league test, the host Thornton Wildcats soccer team scored a close 5-0 triumph over the Crete-Monee Warriors.
With the triumph, Thornton advances its record to 4-5 on the campaign. The Wildcats travel to Lincoln-Way East (Frankfort, IL) to clash with the Griffins in a non-league test on Saturday, September 20. The Griffins come into the test with a record of 5-5. Lincoln-Way East lost 2-0 in their recent league test against Lincoln-Way Central (New Lenox, IL)
The Warriors now have a 4-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Kelly for a non-league test on Sunday, September 21. Crete-Monee will face a Trojans team coming off a 2-2 league Hancock (Chicago, IL). The Trojans record now stands at 6-2.
