The Weld Central Rebels softball squad (Keenesburg, CO), was routed 7-3 in Thursday's league contest with the visiting Platte Valley Broncos (Kersey, CO)

The Broncos (7-8) will now prepare for their match against Valley (Gilcrest, CO). The Vikings go into the 3A Patriot match with a 6-10 record. In their last match, Valley was routed by D'Evelyn (Denver, CO), 13-1, in a non-league match.

In their next game, the Rebels battle the University Bulldogs (Greeley, CO) in a 3A Patriot game, on Tuesday, September 23. Weld Central will attempt to improve on its 6-9 season record. The Bulldogs enter the game with a 15-2 record after their 4-3 league win over Lyons (Lyons, CO).
