Fans at Thursday's non-league contest between the Jay County Patriots (Portland, IN) and the host Connersville Spartans (Connersville, IN), observed Jay County's volleyball team notch a victory over Connersville by a score of 3-0.

With the win, Jay County improves its record to 11-6 on the season. The Patriots host Blackford (Hartford City, IN) to encounter the Bruins in a non-league battle on Monday, September 22. The Bruins go into the battle with a record of 7-15. Blackford lost 3-1 in their recent league battle against Madison-Grant (Fairmount, IN)

The Spartans now have a 7-11 record. They take the field next when they host South Dearborn for a Eastern Indiana challenge on Saturday, September 20. Connersville will meet a Knights team coming off a 3-0 non-league win over Oldenburg Academy (Oldenburg, IN). The Knights record now stands at 12-3.
