Islands Sharks (Savannah, GA) followers went home satisfied Thursday as they saw their volleyball squad triumph over the host Groves Rebels (Garden City, GA), 2-0 in a league game.

Next up, the Sharks face the Effingham County Rebels (Springfield, GA) in a non-league game, on Monday, September 22. Islands will attempt to advance on its 15-6 season record. The Rebels go into the game with a 11-16 record after their 2-0 non-league loss to Glynn Academy (Brunswick, GA).

With the loss, Groves drops to 5-11 on the campaign. The Rebels travel to Richmond Hill (Richmond Hill, GA) to play the Wildcats in a non-league outing on Wednesday, September 24. The Wildcats come into the outing with a record of 27-2.
