North Carolina High School Soccer - Covenant Day nudges Providence Day
September 19, 2023: Matthews, NC 28105 Covenant Day Lions (Matthews, NC) supporters were pleased Tuesday as they observed their soccer team hold off the visiting Providence Day Chargers (Charlotte, NC), 3-2 in a league challenge.
Next, the Lions confront the Charlotte Country Day School Buccaneers (Charlotte, NC) in a NCISAA Charlotte challenge, on Thursday, September 21. Covenant Day will attempt to move on its 8-2 season record. The Buccaneers enter the challenge with a 4-5 record after their 2-1 league win over Charlotte Latin (Charlotte, NC).
The Chargers now possess a 6-7 record. They take the field next when they travel to Cannon for a NCISAA Charlotte challenge on Thursday, September 21. Providence Day will confront a Cougars team coming off a 3-1 league win over Charlotte Christian (Charlotte, NC). The Cougars record now stands at 6-5.
