Missouri High School Softball - Boonville holds off Battle
September 19, 2023: Columbia, MO 65202 Spectators at Tuesday's non-league match between the Boonville Pirates (Boonville, MO) and the host Battle Spartans (Columbia, MO), witnessed Boonville's softball squad tip Battle by a count of 7-5.
The Pirates now sport a 4-10 record. They play next when they host Marshall for a Class 3 District 13 match on Monday, September 25.
With the loss, Battle moves to 3-13 on the season. The Spartans host Park Hill South (Riverside, MO) to face the Panthers in a non-league match on Wednesday, September 20. The Panthers go into the match with a record of 7-12. Park Hill South lost 7-6 in their recent league match against Central (St. Joseph, MO)
