Mississippi High School Volleyball - Newton County over Choctaw Central

Newton County Cougars (Decatur, MS) supporters left the game in high spirits Tuesday as they observed their volleyball squad top the visiting Choctaw Central Warriors (Philadelphia, MS), 3-0 in a league match.

Next up, the Cougars clash with the West Lauderdale Knights (Collinsville, MS) in a Class 4 Region 5 match, on Thursday, September 21. Newton County will attempt to advance on its 22-4 season record. The Knights come into the match with a 22-11 record after their 3-1 league loss to Newton County (Decatur, MS).

With the loss, Choctaw Central drops to 14-11 on the campaign. The Warriors host Northeast Lauderdale (Meridian, MS) to clash with the Trojans in a Class 4 Region 5 match on Thursday, September 21.
