In Thursday's league game, the Sherwood Warriors (Sandy Spring, MD) football team overcame the visiting Magruder Colonels (Rockville, MD), by a tally of 40-19.

In their next game, the Warriors battle the Blake Bengals (Silver Spring, MD) in a Montgomery County 3A game, on Friday, September 27. Sherwood will attempt to better on its 2-1 season record. The Bengals enter the game with a 3-0 record after their 37-0 league win over Einstein (Kensington, MD).

The Colonels (1-2) will now prepare for their game against Clarksburg (Clarksburg, MD). The Coyotes enter the non-league game with a 2-1 record. In their last game, Clarksburg fell by Seneca Valley (Germantown, MD), 21-15, in a league game.
