September 19, 2024: Jackson, GA 30233 Jackson Red Devils (Jackson, GA) boosters left the game thrilled Thursday as they saw their volleyball squad nudge the visiting Academy for Classical Education Gryphons (Macon, GA), 2-1 in a non-league test.
With the win, Jackson moves its record to 16-10 on the year. The Red Devils travel to Callaway (Hogansville, GA) to battle the Cavaliers in a 2A Area 2 contest on Tuesday, September 24. The Cavaliers enter the contest with a record of 5-12.
Next, the Gryphons battle the Jones County Greyhounds (Gray, GA) in a non-league contest, on Thursday, September 19. Academy for Classical Education will attempt to move on its 13-14 season record. The Greyhounds enter the contest with a 8-16 record after their 2-0 non-league win over Putnam County (Eatonton, GA).
