In Thursday's non-league challenge, the visiting Pierce County Bears volleyball team scored a 2-0 triumph over the Appling County Pirates.

The Bears (20-8) will now prepare for their challenge against Statesboro (Statesboro, GA). The Blue Devils come into the non-league challenge with a 9-10 record. In their last challenge, Statesboro was beaten by Lakeside (Evans, GA), 2-1, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Pirates encounter the Glynn Academy Terrors (Brunswick, GA) in a non-league battle, on Tuesday, September 24.
