Freedom Patriots (Morganton, NC) fans went home in high spirits Friday as they saw their football team triumph over the visiting A.C. Reynolds Rockets (Asheville, NC), 70-20 in a non-league match.

The Patriots (5-0) will now prepare for their match against Watauga (Boone, NC). The Pioneers come into the Northwestern 6A/7A match with a 4-0 record.

Coming up next, the Rockets meet the Erwin Warriors (Asheville, NC) in a Mountain 5A/6A match, on Friday, October 3. A.C. Reynolds will attempt to improve on its 2-3 season record. The Warriors go into the challenge with a 1-4 record after their 49-14 non-league loss to Watauga (Boone, NC).
