The Wyoming Valley West (Plymouth, PA) varsity football team won Friday's home conference game against Hazleton Area (Hazleton, PA) by a score of 31-25.
The Wyoming Valley West Spartans got by the visiting Hazleton Area Cougars football squad by a margin of 31-25 in Friday's league test.
The Spartans now sport a 1-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Executive Education Academy Charter School for a non-league test on Saturday, September 27. Wyoming Valley West will meet a Raptors squad coming off a 46-26 non-league win over Biglerville (Biglerville, PA). The Raptors record now stands at 2-3.
With the defeat, Hazleton Area drops to 1-4 on the campaign. The Cougars travel to Wilkes-Barre (Wilkes-Barre, PA) to face the Wolfpack in a Wyoming Valley 1 challenge on Friday, September 26. The Wolfpack enter the challenge with a record of 3-2. Wilkes-Barre won 42-14 in their recent non-league challenge against West Scranton (Scranton, PA)
