Mingo Central Miners (Matewan, WV) followers went home in high spirits Friday as they saw their football team achieve victory over the host Man Hillbillies (Man, WV), 27-8 in a non-league battle.

With the win, Mingo Central advances its record to 4-0 on the season. The Miners host Wyoming East (New Richmond, WV) to play the Warriors in a Coalfield AA battle on Friday, September 26. The Warriors go into the battle with a record of 0-3. Wyoming East lost 32-16 in their recent non-league battle against Meadow Bridge (Meadow Bridge, WV)

The Hillbillies now own a 1-3 record. They take the field next when they host Greenbrier West for a non-league match on Friday, September 26. Man will meet a Cavaliers squad coming off a 16-14 non-league win over Pocahontas County (Dunmore, WV). The Cavaliers record now stands at 2-2.
