Mingo Central Miners (Matewan, WV) fans went home in high spirits Friday as they saw their football team achieve victory over the visiting Westside Renegades (Clear Fork, WV), 32-12 in a league battle.

With the win, Mingo Central improves its record to 2-0 on the season. The Miners travel to Wayne (Wayne, WV) to play the Pioneers in a non-league match on Friday, September 12. The Pioneers come into the match with a record of 2-0. Wayne won 16-9 in their recent league match against Scott (Madison, WV)

Coming up next, the Renegades meet the Man Hillbillies (Man, WV) in a non-league match, on Friday, September 12. Westside will attempt to upgrade on its 1-1 season record. The Hillbillies come into the match with a 1-1 record after their 42-0 league win over Mount View (Welch, WV).
