Meigs County Tigers (Decatur, TN) followers went home pleased Friday as they saw their football team gain a win over the visiting Polk County Wildcats (Benton, TN), 38-8 in a non-league battle.

With the win, Meigs County advances its record to 4-1 on the season. The Tigers travel to Sweetwater (Sweetwater, TN) to play the Wildcats in a 3A Region 2 match on Friday, September 26. The Wildcats come into the match with a record of 2-2. Sweetwater won 21-19 in their recent league match against Roane County (Kingston, TN)

Coming up next, the Wildcats confront the Bledsoe County Warriors (Pikeville, TN) in a non-league match, on Friday, September 26. Polk County will attempt to upgrade on its 2-3 season record. The Warriors come into the match with a 4-1 record after their 15-12 league win over York Institute (Jamestown, TN).
