The New Milford Green Wave football squad (New Milford, CT), was routed 63-7 in Friday's league contest with the visiting Newtown Nighthawks (Newtown, CT)

The Nighthawks (1-1) will now prepare for their contest against Windsor (Windsor, CT). The Warriors enter the non-league contest with a 2-0 record. In their last contest, Windsor crushed South Windsor (South Windsor, CT), 41-26, in a league contest.

Next up, the Green Wave encounter the Norwalk Bears (Norwalk, CT) in a non-league battle, on Friday, September 26. New Milford will attempt to advance on its 1-1 season record. The Bears go into the battle with a 1-1 record after their 27-18 non-league loss to Greenwich (Greenwich, CT).
