The Cougars (2-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Navajo Pine (Navajo, NM). The Warriors come into the non-league battle with a 0-2 record. In their last battle, Navajo Pine lost by Crownpoint (Crownpoint, NM), 3-0, in a non-league battle.
Next, the Lobos clash with the Santa Fe Indian Braves (Santa Fe, NM) in a non-league battle, on Tuesday, September 5. Escalante will attempt to advance on its 1-2 season record. The Braves come into the battle with a 2-0 record after their 3-2 non-league win over Espanola Valley (Espanola, NM).
