September 2, 2025: Columbia, MO 65202 Spectators at Tuesday's non-league game between the Battle Spartans (Columbia, MO) and the visiting Fayette Falcons (Fayette, MO), saw Battle's softball squad nip Fayette by a score of 8-7.
With the triumph, Battle betters its record to 1-0 on the campaign. The Spartans host Centralia (Centralia, MO) to battle the Panthers in a non-league match on Thursday, September 4. The Panthers go into the match with a record of 1-1. Centralia won 10-2 in their recent non-league game against Blair Oaks (Jefferson City, MO)
The Falcons now hold a 0-1 record. They play next when they host Sturgeon for a Class 1 District 6 match on Thursday, September 4. Fayette will battle a Bulldogs team coming off a 8-0 non-league win over Brashear (Brashear, MO). The Bulldogs record now stands at 1-1.
