Georgia High School Softball - Westwood edges Brookwood
September 2, 2025: Camilla, GA 31730 The Westwood Wildcats softball team scored 10 runs and held the visiting Brookwood Warriors to 8 in the Wildcats non-league win on Tuesday.
The Wildcats now possess a 3-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host Fullington Academy for a GIAA Class A & AA District 3 battle on Thursday, September 4. Westwood will confront a Trojans team coming off a 8-1 league loss to Southland Academy (Americus, GA). The Trojans record now stands at 3-4.
With the defeat, Brookwood falls to 4-2 on the year. The Warriors host Brooks County (Quitman, GA) to meet the Trojans in a non-league challenge on Wednesday, September 3. The Trojans go into the challenge with a record of 1-7. Brooks County lost 9-6 in their recent league challenge against Echols County (Statenville, GA)
