Illinois High School Volleyball - Pittsfield tips Calhoun

In Tuesday's non-league test, the visiting Pittsfield Saukees volleyball squad scored a tight 2-1 win over the Calhoun Warriors.

With the win, Pittsfield advances its record to 1-2 on the season. The Saukees host Carrollton (Carrollton, IL) to face the Hawks in a non-league test on Thursday, September 4. The Hawks go into the test with a record of 3-2. Carrollton won 2-0 in their recent non-league challenge against Jersey (Jerseyville, IL)

Next, the Warriors play the Routt Catholic Rockets (Jacksonville, IL) in a Western Illinois Valley challenge, on Wednesday, September 3. Calhoun will attempt to upgrade on its 4-2 season record. The Rockets come into the challenge with a 2-5 record after their 2-1 non-league win over PORTA/Ashland-Chandlerville Central (Petersburg, IL).
