In Tuesday's league challenge, the host Westminster Catawba Christian Indians volleyball team scored a close 3-2 victory over the Gaston Christian Eagles.

The Indians (4-8) will now prepare for their challenge against Hickory Grove Christian (Charlotte, NC). The Lions enter the NCISAA Metrolina Athletic challenge with a 1-6 record. In their last challenge, Hickory Grove Christian got by Lee Park Prep (Monroe, NC), 3-2, in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Eagles meet the SouthLake Christian Academy Eagles (Huntersville, NC) in a NCISAA Metrolina Athletic test, on Thursday, September 4. Gaston Christian will attempt to advance on its 7-5 season record. The Eagles go into the test with a 1-3 record after their 3-0 league loss to Gaston Day (Gastonia, NC).
