The Hamilton-Wenham Generals volleyball team defeated Pentucket Regional High School by a score of 3-1 (25-10, 25-9, 19-25, 25-10) on Tuesday evening in Hamilton on the strength of their serving game, recording a season-high 27 aces on the night. Sophomore libero Ava Day led the way with 12 aces as well as a team-high 13 digs, and rounded out her night with 4 assists. Senior defensive specialist Jane Burnham also anchored the defense with 5 digs, while the offense was paced by junior Maddie Wilson (7 kills), junior Gaby Campbell (4 kills), and senior Grace Roebuck (6 kills). The offense was also led by senior setter Amber Scanlon's 14 assist and junior setter Hannah Ciriello, who made her season debut for the Generals, who are next in action on Thursday evening at Georgetown High School.
