In Friday's league match, the visiting Big Valley Christian Lions football squad scored a decisive 52-8 triumph over the River Islands Riptide.

The Lions (3-1) will now prepare for their match against Linden (Linden, CA). The Lions come into the Mother Lode League match with a 3-1 record. In their last match, Linden routed Center (Antelope, CA), 42-7, in a non-league match.

Coming up next, the Riptide meet the Calaveras Red Hawks (San Andreas, CA) in a Mother Lode League match, on Friday, September 27. River Islands will attempt to upgrade on its 1-3 season record.
