September 20, 2024: Freedom, PA 15042 The Ellwood City Wolverine football squad scored 43 points and limited the host Freedom Area Bulldogs to 3 in the Wolverine league triumph on Friday.
The Wolverine now sport a 4-0 record. They take the field next when they host New Brighton for a WPIAL AA Midwestern test on Friday, September 27. Ellwood City will clash with a Lions squad coming off a 20-13 league loss to Riverside (Ellwood City, PA). The Lions record now stands at 3-2.
With the defeat, Freedom Area drops to 1-2 on the campaign. The Bulldogs travel to Beaver Falls (Beaver Falls, PA) to clash with the Tigers in a WPIAL AA Midwestern test on Friday, September 27. The Tigers come into the test with a record of 0-5. Beaver Falls lost 23-0 in their recent league test against Mohawk Area (Bessemer, PA)
