Pennsylvania High School Football - Union Area over Freedom Area
October 11, 2024: New Castle, PA 16101 The crowd at Friday's league contest between the Union Area Scotties (New Castle, PA) and the visiting Freedom Area Bulldogs (Freedom, PA), witnessed Union Area's football squad knock off Freedom Area by a tally of 36-23.
The Scotties (2-5) will now prepare for their contest against Ellwood City (Ellwood City, PA). The Wolverine enter the WPIAL AA Midwestern contest with a 7-0 record. In their last contest, Ellwood City gained a win over Riverside (Ellwood City, PA), 13-9, in a league contest.
Coming up next, the Bulldogs confront the Mohawk Area Warriors (Bessemer, PA) in a WPIAL AA Midwestern contest, on Friday, October 18. Freedom Area will attempt to better on its 2-4 season record. The Warriors enter the contest with a 4-3 record after their 47-20 league loss to Western Beaver (Industry, PA).
