September 20, 2024: Hazen, AR 72064 The crowd at Friday's non-league contest between the McCrory Jaguars (McCrory, AR) and the host Hazen Hornets (Hazen, AR), witnessed McCrory's football squad knock off Hazen by a tally of 22-14.
The Jaguars (3-0) will now prepare for their contest against Cross County (Cherry Valley, AR). The Thunderbirds enter the 2A Region 2 contest with a 2-1 record. In their last contest, Cross County gained a win over Piggott (Piggott, AR), 50-14, in a non-league contest.
Coming up next, the Hornets battle the Bearden Bears (Bearden, AR) in a 2A Region 4 contest, on Friday, September 27. Hazen will attempt to better on its 0-3 season record. The Bears enter the contest with a 1-2 record after their 37-6 non-league loss to Mount Ida (Mount Ida, AR).
