Pennsylvania High School Football - Montour over Mars

September 20, 2024: Mars, PA 16046

The crowd at Friday's non-league contest between the Montour Spartans (McKees Rocks, PA) and the host Mars Fightin' Planets (Mars, PA), witnessed Montour's football squad knock off Mars by a tally of 31-14.

The Spartans (5-0) will now prepare for their contest against Blackhawk (Beaver Falls, PA). The Cougars enter the WPIAL AAAA Parkway contest with a 3-2 record. In their last contest, Blackhawk gained a win over Yough (Herminie, PA), 57-6, in a non-league contest.

Coming up next, the Fightin' Planets battle the West Mifflin Titans (West Mifflin, PA) in a WPIAL AAAA Greater Allegheny contest, on Friday, September 27. Mars will attempt to better on its 1-4 season record. The Titans enter the contest with a 2-3 record after their 35-7 non-league loss to Thomas Jefferson (Jefferson Hills, PA).
