September 20, 2024: Yamhill, OR 97148 The crowd at Friday's league contest between the Yamhill-Carlton Tigers (Yamhill, OR) and the visiting Rainier Columbians (Rainier, OR), witnessed Yamhill-Carlton's football squad knock off Rainier by a tally of 35-8.
The Tigers (2-1) will now prepare for their contest against Kennedy (Mt. Angel, OR). The Trojans enter the 3A Special District 1 contest with a 4-0 record. In their last contest, Kennedy gained a win over Warrenton (Warrenton, OR), 10-8, in a league contest.
Coming up next, the Columbians battle the Valley Catholic Valiants (Beaverton, OR) in a 3A Special District 1 contest, on Friday, September 27. Rainier will attempt to better on its 0-3 season record. The Valiants enter the contest with a 1-2 record after their 41-0 non-league loss to Douglas (Winston, OR).
