Illinois High School Flag Football - Oak Lawn can't hold off Crete-Monee
September 20, 2025: Oak Lawn, IL 60453 Crete-Monee Warriors (Crete, IL) followers went home in high spirits Saturday as they saw their flag football team tip the host Oak Lawn Spartans (Oak Lawn, IL), 12-8 in a non-league battle.
With the triumph, Crete-Monee upgrades its record to 3-3 on the campaign. The Warriors host Thornwood (South Holland, IL) to confront the Thunderbirds in a match on Tuesday, September 23. The Thunderbirds come into the match with a record of 1-3. Thornwood lost 13-6 in their recent league match against Bloom (Chicago Heights, IL)
Coming up next, the Spartans confront the Blue Island Eisenhower Cardinals (Blue Island, IL) in a match, on Monday, September 22. Oak Lawn will attempt to improve on its 5-4 season record. The Cardinals go into the battle with a 0-6 record after their 53-0 non-league loss to Marist (Chicago, IL).
