Maryland High School Soccer - Walkersville nudged by Manchester Valley
September 20, 2025: Manchester, MD 21102 Manchester Valley Mavericks (Manchester, MD) fans went home in high spirits Saturday as they observed their soccer squad nudge the visiting Walkersville Lions (Walkersville, MD), 2-1 in a non-league outing.
The Mavericks (2-3) will now prepare for their outing against Winters Mill (Westminster, MD). The Falcons go into the MVAL - Blue Ridge outing with a 3-1 record. In their last outing, Winters Mill got by Poly (Baltimore, MD), 4-0, in a non-league test.
The Lions now have a 1-5 record. They take the field next when they host Middletown for a Gambrills test on Monday, September 22. Walkersville will clash with a Knights team coming off a 3-1 non-league loss to Linganore (Frederick, MD). The Knights record now stands at 2-5.
