September 20, 2025: Clinton, IA 52732 Fans at Saturday's non-league contest between the Solon Spartans (Solon, IA) and the host Clinton River Kings (Clinton, IA), observed Solon's volleyball team top Clinton by a tally of 2-0.
With the win, Solon improves its record to 12-3 on the season. The Spartans travel to Marion (Marion, IA) to face the Wolves in a non-league test on Tuesday, September 23. The Wolves go into the test with a record of 10-8. Marion lost 2-0 in their recent non-league test against Dallas Center-Grimes (Dallas Center, IA)
The River Kings now own a 9-10 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Central DeWitt for a non-league test on Monday, September 22. Clinton will face a squad coming off a 2-0 non-league win over Fulton (Fulton, IL). The record now stands at 10-8.
