In Saturday's non-league challenge, the host Northside Christian Mustangs volleyball team scored a close 2-1 victory over the Palm Harbor University Hurricanes.

The Mustangs (8-7) will now prepare for their test against Ponte Vedra (Ponte Vedra, FL). The Sharks go into the non-league test with a 7-7 record. In their last test, Ponte Vedra was edged by Fleming Island (Orange Park, FL), 3-2, in a non-league test.

The Hurricanes now own a 13-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Auburn for a non-league test on Saturday, September 20. Palm Harbor University will face a Tigers squad coming off a 3-1 non-league loss to Venice (Venice, FL). The Tigers record now stands at 12-6.
