September 21, 2021: Matewan, WV 25670 Lincoln County Panthers (Hamlin, WV) supporters were pleased Tuesday as they observed their soccer team knock off the host Mingo Central Miners (Matewan, WV), 4-1 in a league challenge.
Next, the Panthers confront the Poca The Dots (Poca, WV) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, September 23. Lincoln County will attempt to move on its 1-6 season record. The The Dots enter the challenge with a 4-3 record after their 3-2 non-league win over St. Joseph Central (Huntington, WV).
The Miners now possess a 3-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Shady Spring for a non-league challenge on Friday, September 24. Mingo Central will confront a Tigers team coming off a 8-0 non-league loss to Oak Hill (Oak Hill, WV). The Tigers record now stands at 2-3.
