The Fannin County Rebels (Blue Ridge, GA) volleyball overcame the host Hiwassee Dam Eagles (Murphy, NC), 3-1 in Thursday's non-league outing.

With the win, Fannin County upgrades its record to 19-13 on the year. The Rebels travel to Gainesville (Gainesville, GA) to play the Red Elephants in a non-league outing on Saturday, September 23. The Red Elephants go into the outing with a record of 11-14. Gainesville lost 2-1 in their recent non-league outing against Habersham Central (Mt. Airy, GA)

The Eagles now own a 3-11 record. They play next when they travel to Swain County for a non-league outing on Monday, September 25. Hiwassee Dam will play a Maroon Devils squad coming off a 3-1 league win over Robbinsville (Robbinsville, NC). The Maroon Devils record now stands at 11-4.
