Maine High School Soccer - Dirigo toppled by Spruce Mountain
September 21, 2024: Dixfield, ME 04224 Spruce Mountain Phoenix (Jay, ME) backers exited the stadium pleased Saturday as they witnessed their soccer team triumph over the host Dirigo Cougars (Dixfield, ME), 9-1 in a league test.
With the triumph, Spruce Mountain advances its record to 2-3 on the campaign. The Phoenix host Pine Tree Academy (Freeport, ME) to clash with the Breakers in a non-league match on Wednesday, September 25. The Breakers come into the match with a record of 3-0. Pine Tree Academy won 4-1 in their recent league match against Temple Academy (Waterville, ME)
The Cougars now sport a 0-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Wiscasset for a 8 Person - South match on Tuesday, September 24. Dirigo will meet a Wolverines team coming off a 6-0 non-league loss to Temple Academy (Waterville, ME). The Wolverines record now stands at 0-5.
