The Brother Martin Crusaders (New Orleans, LA) football overcame the host Ouachita Parish Lions (Monroe, LA), 31-14 in Friday's non-league bout.

In their next game, the Crusaders clash with the Edna Karr Cougars (New Orleans, LA) in a 5A District 9 bout, on Friday, September 29. Brother Martin will attempt to move on its 3-1 season record. The Cougars enter the bout with a 4-0 record after their 27-16 league win over St. Augustine (New Orleans, LA).

The Lions (1-3) will now prepare for their bout against Ouachita Christian (Monroe, LA). The Eagles enter the non-league bout with a 4-0 record. In their last bout, Ouachita Christian thwarted Tensas (St. Joseph, LA), 59-0, in a non-league bout.
