McDowell Titans (Marion, NC) boosters left the game thrilled Monday as they saw their volleyball squad achieve victory over the host East Burke Cavaliers (Connelly Springs, NC), 2-0 in a non-league test.

With the win, McDowell improves its record to 12-4 on the season. The Titans travel to Freedom (Morganton, NC) to meet the Patriots in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, September 23. The Patriots come into the challenge with a record of 2-10. Freedom lost 2-0 in their recent league challenge against Alexander Central (Taylorsville, NC)

Next, the Cavaliers meet the Hibriten Panthers (Lenoir, NC) in a challenge, on Tuesday, September 23. East Burke will attempt to upgrade on its 5-8 season record. The Panthers come into the challenge with a 0-13 record after their 2-0 league loss to East Rutherford (Bostic, NC).
