Fans at Monday's non-league contest between the St. Joseph Christian Lions (St. Joseph, MO) and the visiting East Buchanan Bulldogs (Gower, MO), observed St. Joseph Christian's volleyball team top East Buchanan by a count of 3-1.

The Lions (9-4) will now prepare for their contest against Lafayette (St. Joseph, MO). The Fighting Irish enter the non-league contest with a 6-6 record. In their last contest, Lafayette was knocked off by Maryville (Maryville, MO), 3-0, in a league contest.

Next, the Bulldogs meet the West Platte Bluejays (Weston, MO) in a battle, on Thursday, September 25. East Buchanan will attempt to improve on its 12-6 season record. The Bluejays go into the battle with a 10-9 record after their 2-0 non-league loss to Lamar (Lamar, MO).
