The Abilene Eagles football squad scored 37 points and restricted the host Monterey Plainsmen to 7 in the Eagles league victory on Friday.

The Eagles now possess a 2-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Tascosa for a 5A-1 Region I District 2 battle on Friday, September 30. Abilene will play a Rebels squad coming off a 45-10 league win over Amarillo (Amarillo, TX). The Rebels record now stands at 4-1.

Coming up next, the Plainsmen play the Tascosa Rebels (Amarillo, TX) in a 5A-1 Region I District 2 battle, on Friday, October 7. Monterey will attempt to advance on its 0-5 season record.
