September 23, 2022: Asheboro, NC 27205 The Asheboro Blue Comets football team (Asheboro, NC), was ripped 40-2 in Friday's non-league challenge with the host Southwestern Randolph Cougars (Asheboro, NC)
The Cougars (4-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Eastern Randolph (Ramseur, NC). The Wildcats come into the 1A/2A West Conference 31 challenge with a 4-1 record. In their last challenge, Eastern Randolph trounced West Stanly (Oakboro, NC), 42-0, in a non-league challenge.
The Blue Comets now sport a 1-4 record. They take the field next when they host Oak Grove for a 3A West Conference 47 challenge on Friday, September 30. Asheboro will meet a Grizzlies team coming off a 24-12 non-league win over West Stanly (Oakboro, NC). The Grizzlies record now stands at 5-0.
