The Southwestern Randolph Cougars football team (Asheboro, NC), was beaten 20-12 in Thursday's league challenge with the visiting Eastern Randolph Wildcats (Ramseur, NC)

The Wildcats (5-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Trinity (Trinity, NC). The Bulldogs come into the 1A/2A West Conference 31 challenge with a 4-2 record. In their last challenge, Trinity was beaten by Providence Grove (Franklinville, NC), 31-0, in a league challenge.

The Cougars now sport a 4-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Wheatmore for a 1A/2A West Conference 31 challenge on Friday, October 7. Southwestern Randolph will meet a Warriors team coming off a 49-0 league loss to Randleman (Randleman, NC). The Warriors record now stands at 1-5.
